A Blurry Mind. A Reflection of a Reflection in the Dark

My mind went out numb,
Thinking about hope makes it even more unbearable..
Peace is what I seek and the reflections for the time being came back with a lot of Blur.
I guess, unintentionally in my life and intentionally on these images.
Look for the bright spot as it exists, even in the murky water.

A While Back

During last summer, I was out on the streets of downtown with my camera in hand, it was a rather hot night; and people were walking, talking, laughing, cars driving by,  lots of movement around me, hard to concentrate on what to photograph...
Out of all those lights came an idea on how to put order to the activity, how to conceive geometrical halos....Here it is what came up from that thought, a series that somewhat has been very successful for commercial and exhibit purposes. Hope you like these images.

Amphibian

I just rest; and at the same time feel it.
Wonderful thought of serenity,  the certainty; I am hurting myself.
I do sometimes prefer to be underwater
Time to create and reflect; even when the wound gets deeper.
When I twist it. Am I really getting anywhere?
Should I try to go back to the surface?
No need for that, I think I have learned how to breathe within it.
 Survival at its best.

Amphibian is just a Self-Portrait shot. For me it was one of the most intimate so far, part of a Self Portrait exhibit in Atlanta. You can see the whole series here.
